Dr. Rohitkumar G. Shah, born (1964) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat is a distinguished Veterinary professional over 38 years of experience in Veterinary Science, focusing on teaching, research, extension, clinical activities and administration. Dr. Shah began his career as an Assistant Research Scientist at GAU in September 17 th 1987, advancing to the role of Professor of Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics at the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Anand Agricultural University (AAU), in 2009. In 2015, he joined Kamdhenu University (KU) Gandhinagar as an Associate Director of Research (ADR), where he has held multiple roles including PG Coordinator, Exam Coordinator etc. He played key role in establishment of Veterinary Emergency Response Unit (VERU) at CVSc & AH, Anand & acted as the First Coordinator for the Western Zone of VERU. He acted as Nodal Officer for various National Ranking Frameworks and Surveys, including National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), ICAR Ranking of AUs; All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE); GSIRF; RFRF; FICCI Ranking etc. Dr. Shah’s research career is marked by his involvement in 14 research projects and his role as Co- Investigator in the e-Animal Health Card funded by National e-Governance Division, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

- PhD in Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics from Gujarat Agricultural University (GAU).

Accomplishments/Activities
Dr. Shah has Guided 07 MVSc & 2 Ph.D students. He has also facilitated over 11 MoUs between KU and various institutions. He holds an account of 13 recommendations approved and accepted for scientific and farming community. He holds life membership of 6 scientific organization and Professional Association and member of Editorial Board of KALRAV till 2023 and GVC News link. He has participated in over 60 scientific gatherings (Symposium, Workshops, Training, Seminar etc.) and two Vice Chancellor Convention. His dedication to extension work is evident through his participation in over 180 lectures in Training Programs for Farmers/Mahila Pashupak; acted as Co-organizer in 55 training programmes; conducted 22 off campus training programmes; imparted 16 refresher trainings/ASCAD, delivered Radio Talk for farmers. Also served over 40 Veterinary Clinical Camps and interacted with farmers/pashupalak in ambulatory clinics & Krushi Mahotsav.
