He has obtained his graduation in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry in 1987, Masters in Veterinary Public Health in 1990 and Doctorate in Veterinary Public Health in 1999 from Gujarat Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar. He has experience of 34 years in teaching, Research, Extension and Administration.

He has published more than 250 research articles in international and national journals, books; popular articles, conference/ symposia paper presentations, practical manuals/booklets etc. He has attended more than 50 National and International seminar/symposium/conferences and worked as member Editorial Board of more than 20 scientific research journals of India and Abroad.

He has Guided 05 Ph. D. and 27 M.V.Sc. students and monitored many Research/Educational projects.

Dr. Brahmbhatt has Visited Monash University, Melbourne, Australia under the "Leadership Training for Academicians" organized by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. He is recipient of “FELLOW” Award of Indian Association of Veterinary Public Health Specialists, “FELLOW” Award of Indian Association of Animal Scientiests and “FELLOW” Award of Indian Association of Advancement of Veterinary Research. He is also honoured with Dr. A. T. Sherikar Outstanding Public Health Veterinarian Award in recognition of his outstanding ontributions in the advancement of Veterinary Public Health. He has also received Best Research Paper Award, Best Teacher Award, Teacher’s Excellence award and also recipient of other 16 Awards for Academics and Scientific contributions. He is a Life member and office bearers of more than 10 Scientific and professional associations. He has vast administrative experience and worked if different positions as Registrar, Anand Agricultural University, Director of Extension Education, Director, Students’ Welfare and Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, AAU, Anand.
