Dr. Bhavsar has obtained his graduation in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry in 1987, Masters in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology in 1992 and Doctorate in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology in 2001 from Gujarat Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat.

He has experience of 38 years in Teaching, Research, Extension Education and Administration. He has received 20 awards for his noteworthy contribution in teaching and research. He has published 45 Books/Chapters and more than 250 research papers in international and national journals. He has presented more than 180 research papers. He has attended more than 100 National and International Seminar/Symposium/Conference/Workshop.

He is Founder Member of Indian Society of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology (ISVPT) and currently he is acting as Executive Secretary of ISVPT. He has guided 05 Ph.D. and 23 M.V.Sc. students. He has monitored many research/educational projects funded by the State and Central Government Agencies.
