The candidate should have passed Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) from Gujarat State or other equivalent examination with Local language, Social Science/Social Studies, Science & Technology/Science, Mathematics subjects along with English as a compulsory subject.

For admission minimum overall percentage of all subjects required is 33% for SC and ST category and 40% for SEBC and other categories. A common admission procedure is followed by the Kamdhenu University for all the Polytechnics (Animal Husbandry) of Gujarat. Admission is being given to the students on the basis of percent conceded in the Exam.
