Based on the academic record and personal information of the students’ college placement cell prepare the placement brochure of the outgoing batch and send it to various dairy industries and invite them for conducting the campus interview. Various private and co-operative airy organization visits the college for selecting students for placement. Students are selected as production in-charge, technical officer, management trainee etc.
As per ICAR norms the counselor is appointed from the academic staff of college, who works as a local guardian to solve the difficulties and problem of students and to monitor their overall academic performance. Three to five students are allotted to each teacher at the beginning of their first semester registration and continued till student completes UG Programme.
Till 31.03.2020, only six batches of B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) has been passed out. The placement status of passed out students is summarized below.
Students of College of Dairy Science are placed in several industries all over India which includes Sarvottam Dairy, Bhavnagar; Panchamrut Dairy, Godhra; Vasudhara Dairy, Valsad; Sabar Dairy, Himmatnagar; Gopal Dairy, Rajkot; AMR Dairy, Amreli; Sheetal Industries, Amreli; Sorath Dairy, Junagadh; Maahi Dairy, Rajkot; Madhur Dairy, Gandhinagar; Dudh-sagar Dairy, Mehsana; Sudama Dairy, Sarhad Dairy, Porbandar; More Kulfi, Ahmedabad etc., majority within Gujarat state
Recently, Amul Fed, Gandhinagar has visited and arranged campus interview at College of Dairy Science, Amreli and selected many B.Tech (D.T.) students of College of Dairy Science, Amreli.
Few students of college of dairy science are employed in Al-marai Dairy, Saudi Arabia. Some have opted for higher studies in ICAR-NDRI Karnal as well as SMC College of Dairy Science, AAU, Anand.
Kamdhenu University made an MoU with Kold College, Denmark for exchange of education and research activities for the faculty and students of College
