Student Representative Council (SRC)
A Student Representative Council (SRC) is a student-based group designed to promote college spirit and leadership among students. The certain members of the SRC change each year to maintain a fresh approach and a strong student voice within the college. Members are leaders who help to create and nurture constructive ideas within the college community. They are approachable students who are representatives of our student body.
The aims and objective of the Students' Representative Council:
- To promote co-curricular activities leading the students to the intellectual, social, cultural and physical development so as to prepare them as ideal citizens.
- To encourage sentiments if national integration and of international understanding among the students by arranging group discussion and to develop leadership through different activities which encourage dignity of labour social service, cooperation, mutual respect etc.
- To promote social relation amongst the students as well as with the teachers.
- To augment academic and co-curricular interest among the students by maintaining sports complex, reading room, library, hostel and other facilities.
- To facilitate the students and enhance the attitude of the cooperation through several cooperative activities for community development.
- To develop a sense of discipline and commitment as an educated individual towards the society.
The Purpose of Students' Representative Council
- To Select different Student Secretaries for different activities
- To approve the budget and expenditures
- To review the general policy and working of the SRC
- To finalize the various annual activities /programme
The constitution of Students' Representative Council
- President (ex-officio) Principal of the college
- Chairman (one member of the teaching staff as appointed by the principal)
- Co-Chairman (one additional teaching staff as appointed by the principal)
- General Secretary
- Secretary and /or Joint Secretary as nominated /selected for the activity
- Five to eight teacher advisors nominated by the Principal
- The tenure of Chairman of SRC will be maximum of Three years while the tenure SRC will be one academic year.

National Services Scheme (NSS)
In order to encourage the spirit of community service amongst the college students, the NSS unit is functional at College of Veterinary Science & A.H., Navsari. The Unit has one Programme Officer and 75 volunteers. The unit is administratively controlled by one Programme Coordinator at the university level. Director of Students Welfare (DSW) generally works as the Programme Coordinator for the University. The NSS unit has regular programmes as well as a special camp every year in the adopted villages where NSS volunteers undertake social work, like awareness to parents to avoid female foeticide, awareness against drugs-abuse and smoking; adult and child education; mother and child care; health, hygiene, cleaning of various areas of villages; awareness against various water, food and air born diseases; pulse polio campaign; voter awareness programme; literacy programme; tree plantation; blood donation; Wildlife conservation and many more activities focused on social and rural upliftment. The NSS volunteers of the college also help in organizing camps for treatment of animals and Pashupalan Shibirs in the adopted villages during special camps along with experts of the college. The NSS volunteers undertake social work in and around a college campus as a part of regular activities. Apart from this, following activities organizes by the NSS unit with the help of volunteers.

Campus work: The NSS volunteers are involved in the projects undertaken for the benefit of the institution and the students concerned. Such projects cover the development and maintenance of playgrounds, laying of gardens, cleanliness activities, massive tree plantation in the college premises, awareness programme on drug abuse and various diseases, No smoking, population education, Gender Awareness, voter awareness, traffic rules and other projects.
NSS volunteers participate in Youth festival, Youth Parliament and many more competitions to develop characters of leadership among them.
A special camp of 7 days period is organized in the adopted village on the specified project designed by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt, of India. During the entire period of special camp, NSS volunteers stay in the village and carried out various activities for social and rural upliftment of the village people.
Every year Thalassemia check up camp is organized for newly admitted students; during which blood donation camp is also organize every year.
National Cadet Corps (NCC)
NCC aims at developing leadership qualities, secular outlook, scientific temper and cultivate spirit of adventure, comradeship and patriotism among the students. College of Veterinary Science & A.H. offers NCC Navy affiliated to 9 Guj Naval Unit NCC, Navsari. NCC Navy has intake capacity of one division of 100 cadets.
NCC activities are divided into two parts: 1. Institutional Training, and 2. Centralized Training. Institutional Training is organized at the college every Saturday and Sunday where the cadets are engaged in Parade/ Drill practice along with learning of theory of Common Subjects and Specialized Subject. In addition to the regular activities, the cadets participate in different centralized camps such as Combined Annual Training Camps, Naval Attachment Camp, Adventure Training Camps, Basic Leadership Camps and also in many other competitions like Firing Competition, Best Cadet Competition, Ship Modelling Competition etc.
The NCC Cadets appear for B Certificate and C Certificate Examinations at the end of Second and Third Year respectively. The exams are conducted and the certificates are awarded by the Additional Director General, NCC, Gujarat Directorate as per the DG NCC, New Delhi norms.
